Aim and Scope
The Indian Journal of Footwear and Allied Research (IJFAR) is a peer-reviewed, bi-annual, open-access scholarly journal devoted to advancing fundamental and applied research across footwear science and allied domains. The journal publishes original research articles, short communications, review papers, and technical perspectives that address the design, engineering, performance, sustainability, and health implications of footwear and related products.
IJFAR covers the broad and interdisciplinary landscape of footwear research, including footwear biomechanics and human movement; gait, posture, and injury prevention; footwear design, fit, comfort, and functional performance; materials innovation encompassing leather, polymers, biomaterials, and sustainable alternatives; circular economy and footwear recycling systems; advanced manufacturing technologies and adhesives; computational modelling, simulation tools, and digital design platforms; and allied product industries such as leather goods, fashion and lifestyle products, protective equipment, healthcare, and occupational goods industries.
